Alum powder: Made from potassium aluminium sulfate, often used to preserve or pickle foods. Alum has astringent properties that help shrink tissue and dry out mouth ulcers. Create a paste: Mix a tiny amount of alum powder with a drop of water. Dab the paste onto your mouth ulcer. Leave it on for a minute. Rinse thoroughly. Hydrogen peroxide: Promotes healing by cleaning the sore and reducing bacteria in the mouth. Dilute 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide with equal parts of water. Dip a cotton swab into it. Milk of magnesia: Contains magnesium hydroxide. An acid neutraliser and a laxative. Changes the pH in your mouth so the sore cannot survive. Sage mouthwash: Sage tea is used for mouth inflammation. The mouthwash serves as a general mouthwash for many oral issues. Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and astringent properties.
