Blood Purifier

Liver and Kidney:

These are the 2 organs linked to cleansing the system of toxins and purifying the blood.

  • Water: Your kidneys depend on water to help eliminate toxins. Water also keeps your blood vessels open so the blood can flow more freely. Your urine should be light yellow or colourless throughout the day.
  • Omega 3 fatty acids: Helps to decrease blood pressure and helps protect liver and kidneys.

We would also suggest the following foods:

Cruciferous vegetables: Cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts. These are often recommended for those with kidney disease. They are very high in anti-oxidants and extremely nutritious. Can be eaten raw, steamed, baked, grilled, any form.

Blueberries: Extremely high anti-oxidants that help keep the liver healthy. Eat them fresh, frozen, in juices, yoghurt, smoothies.

Cranberries: Prevent bacteria from entering the urinary tract, which in turn keeps your kidneys free from infection. Add a handful of fresh berries to yoghurt, salad, smoothie or juice.

Garlic: Anti-inflammatory properties can help lower cholesterol and blood pressure. High blood pressure can harm the kidneys. So good to keep it in check.

Grapefruit: High in antioxidants and helps to fight inflammation in the body. Can protect the liver from injury and the harmful effects of alcohol.

Apples: The pectin in apples helps regular blood sugar levels. High blood sugar can damage your kidneys.
