Lifestyle tips:

Exercise: This gets the blood flowing and your heart is the centre of your bodies blood flow. It’s important to have a healthy heart if you aim for optimum circulation in your body.

Stress management: Blood vessels constrict through stress. So it’s vital to find ways to manage your stress.

Massage: This helps with stress management, blood circulation, and lymphatic circulation. When the muscles are manipulated, the body releases endorphins, which are “happy hormones”, your “feel good” hormones. Essential Oils can also be added to assist blood flow: rosemary, sage and juniper for example.

Fluid intake: Blood has very high water content. Keeping hydrated is an easy way to maintain and improve circulation.

Quit smoking: Smoking constricts the blood vessels, thereby decreasing the amount of blood that can flow through the vessels.

Cut back on sugar and refined carbs: Avoid excess sugar. As well as white flour, as it converts rapidly to sugar in your bloodstream. There is a strong link between sugar and high blood pressure. Stick only to natural sugars found in fruits.
